Ryan Johnson, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Ryan takes a compassionate, strengths-based approach that centers each person as more than the challenges or pain that brought them to therapy. He intentionally focuses on clients’ strengths, interests, and values, weaving these into the healing process as sources of stability, meaning, and hope. Therapy is viewed as a collaborative space where safety is carefully built, a sense of control is gently restored, and new ways of relating to oneself and others can emerge—ways that support growth, resilience, and empowerment over time.
Ryan is thoughtful about pacing, taking time to truly understand each client’s story in a way that feels respectful and emotionally safe. This includes exploring early life experiences as well as present-day patterns, and helping clients make sense of how past experiences may continue to shape their emotions, relationships, and sense of self today. Throughout this process, clients are met with curiosity, patience, and care, without pressure to rush or revisit anything before they are ready.
Above all, Ryan is interested in who clients are beyond their trauma—the parts of them that hold creativity, connection, values, and inner strength. These parts are honored and integrated into the work, serving as anchors throughout the healing journey. Clients are invited to take the next step toward wellness with the understanding that healing does not require having all the answers. Even experiences that feel distant or difficult to remember can still be acknowledged and held with compassion, because nothing that has shaped a person is ever truly lost
