Lisa Sloka, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

AAMFT Approved Supervisor

Lisa believes that we are shaped, healed, and transformed through our relationships. She approaches her work with the understanding that no one exists in isolation, and that our experiences are deeply influenced by the families, partnerships, and systems we are part of. Her therapeutic perspective is strongly rooted in family systems theory and is also informed by her own lived experiences, including divorce, single parenting, career transitions, remarriage, and blended families. Lisa has extensive personal and professional knowledge about ADHD and how it affects individuals and their families.

In her work with clients, Lisa looks beyond symptoms or individual struggles to understand the broader relational patterns and contexts that shape a person’s experience. She brings warmth, curiosity, and compassion into the therapy room, creating space for individuals, couples, and families to feel seen and understood. Lisa thoughtfully integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with the Gottman Method,  drawing from each approach to help clients recognize patterns, strengthen emotional connection, improve communication, and rewrite the stories they tell about themselves and their relationships.

Lisa believes that meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to grow, and empowered to choose new ways of relating. Her goal is to help clients reconnect with themselves and one another, deepen understanding, and move toward relationships that feel more secure, authentic, and aligned with the people they want to become.
